Continuing where we left off in our November 2020 newsletter, we focus on another key facet of what is needed for the “New Normal”: Local Area Planning.

The extract below reflects some of David’s comments for SAACPP in relation to the urgent need for a greater degree of Local Area Planning in order to give greater levels of certainty to all role players in the development process. While the following comments relate specifically to the Blaauwberg Area, they have a generic nature and could be applied to the City and in fact the rest of South Africa as a whole.

As the new year begins to unfold, we take a moment to look back on 2021 and what we at Bettesworth Scott found ourselves busy with in the year which has passed.

A lot has happened to our world since last year’s Introductory Newsletter!

At the time of writing, South Africa is in the process of transitioning from a 5 week almost total lockdown to Level 4 of 5 Levels of Government Restrictions imposed to limit the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic. It seems likely that various restrictions on personal movement and economic activity will persist for several months to come.
